Em depoimento, a esposa de Amarildo disse: “Tudo não passa de coisa da cabeça do homem, que ele bebe muito e esquece tudo que aconteceu no dia anterior, por isso as pessoas ficam lhe chamando de corno, tudo mentira, eu sou fiel e nunca traí o Amarildo”.
O caso tem causado revolta em pessoas que tiveram Auxílio-doença negado pelo INSS: “Isso mostra de fato, além de absurdo, mostra que o Brasil não é um pais sério “e nunca vai sair do buraco” acrescentou Sr. Cafuringa da Silva, que teve seu auxilio recusado mesmo estando sem uma perna.
